“And when upon that blood-stained Cross He died in unutterable agonies, there was heard a shout such as never was heard before for the ransomed in Heaven—and all the angels of God with loudest harmony chanted His praise! Then was sung, in fullest chorus, the song of Moses, the servant of God and of the Lamb, for He had, indeed, cut Rahab and sorely wounded the dragon. Sing unto the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously! The Lord shall reign forever and ever, King of kings, and Lord of lords!”
Charles Spurgeon, Christ Triumphant
“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” (Colossians 2:15)
Christina,
Such joy unspeakable..yes, He has triumphed gloriously. My heart is overwhelmed as I read this and reminded of how small everything else really is. Have a beautiful Lord’s Day, friend!
Lord bless you, Trisha! Yes, the cross has a way of putting everything in perspective, doesn’t it? May our eyes be every fixed on Calvary. It is our only hope.
Amen! Our pastor reminded us this morning that Christ IS Lord – we don’t “make” Jesus Lord, He already is whether we submit to that truth or not! Hallelujah! He reigns forever and ever!
Blessings my dear friend!
That is wonderful, Diane! Sounds like an awesome sermon today! Yes, I’d rather bend the knee now then have it broken later on! LOL! Love you!
I love this quote, especially after singing “Agnus Dei” yesterday in service! 🙂
Kim said the same thing this morning, Louis! : ) Hope you are having a beautiful day!
