“In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel. ” (Isaiah 4:2)
In case you are wondering, “The Branch of the LORD” is Jesus. You can find him inscribed upon every page of the most magnificent book ever written.
If beautiful is not in your vocabulary when you speak of Jesus, it should be!
Martha says
It’s in my vocab, love!
Christina says
Amen, Martha! I know that it is in your vocabulary too!
I was thinking today about Luke 7:47. “For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
When I think of all that He has saved me from, and how He is STILL saving me (despite myself), I can get really overwhelmed.
What a beautiful Savior!
Lisa Guinther says
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness; That my soul may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to thee forever. Psalm 30:11-12
‘scuse me, I’m gonna dance around the living room now!
Christina says
Lisa,
From mourning to dancing. From sackcloth to gladness. A soul that cannot stay quiet but must give praise — why, I think that is called the “Song of the Redeemed”!!!!
Have a beautiful day!
