“Though our private desires are ever so confused, though our private requests are ever so broken, and though our private groanings are ever so hidden from men, yet God eyes them, records them, and puts them upon the file of heaven, and will one day crown them with glorious answers and returns.”
– Thomas Brooks
“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26)
Thank you, Christina! I needed this encouragement today! Blessings!!
Blessings to you too, my dear sister!
I am glad that you were encouraged. Sometimes I sense the dimness of my own spiritual vision and am frustrated at my inability to do anything about it. But, Bless God for our Helper, the Holy Spirit!
Much love to you, Petra!
He gives me much strength, peace and comfort as painful doors close behind me. Only he could have closed them since he knew I never would. May he hide the key so I cant find it, that is my prayer. Holy Spirit within me, so powerful….show me the way, keep me on this path…keep me looking up.
love you sister.
When everything seems dead remember that we are growing at the root. I see you growing in righteousness for His glory. (Isaiah 61:3).
I love you and am so glad that He made us sisters!
Thank you for this! Wonderful encouragement – thank you Holy Spirit our wonderful Helper!! (Whew, has us covered when we look up to heaven and go, ‘Ugh’!!!!) Bless you, Christina
Yes! He has us covered, Jo! Our confused desires, broken requests, and private groanings!
BTW, I posted the video on your blog to my FB. Wow. Didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Blessings to you!
What a blessed reminder of the preciousness of our private meetings with God. May we endeavor to seek that time with Him, and when it eludes, make that time to be His precious child in private, that Christ may be truly exalted in all things public, especially at His return in that day.
Manifold blessings to you, my very dear sister; and to my beloved brother, your dear husband, as well. You both are precious souls to my life.
How encouraging! I have a huge file on one particular subject Christina! I pray that our dear Lord wearies of it’s fullness very soon and will answer it.
