Is this not the most delightful picture in the world? I’m still trying to locate the original source for proper credit but in the meantime, for no other reason than this brings my soul joy, I had to share!
There is a book entitled “The Best Dog in the World: Vintage Portraits of Children and Their Dogs” by Donna Long. I can’t find my copy of it at the moment to verify if this picture is from that book — but it’s a possibility. If I find my copy, I’ll let you know. You can see a few more pictures if you look up the book on Amazon! ๐
Oh, Pam! I just took a peek inside the book at Amazon and I think I need to have it!! Whether this particular picture is in there or not, it’s right up my alley – in every way! Thank you SO much for letting me know about it! ๐

love it! God has truly blessed us with animals. We get to pet them and feel their fir. We get to talk to them and they won’t talk back to us. I’ve found that God has taught me tremendous lessons through my 2 cats… I talk to them about God and thank the Lord for them all the time. To me they are kinda like little kids..Of course with this Dog he’s a big kid
Yes, Linda! Did you know Charles Spurgeon questioned whether someone was actually converted, if his animal was not better for it? I agree! They can be like children … only difference is they never grow up! ๐

no I didn’t know Spurgeon said that. That really gave me good chills that Spurgeon said that because I really DO believe it is true
