“God expects nothing from Alan Redpath but failure. I as a man am no different today from the day before I was converted. Five minutes after I’ve finished preaching I would be capable of committing any sin imaginable but for the grace of God. Alan Redpath is no different as a man from what he was as a youngster. And the sins that beset him then beset him now, were it not for a constant, continual dependence upon the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit to keep me.”
– Alan Redpath
“For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.” Romans 3:28

O, that more men of God would be gripped to the core with that blessed truth. It’s God’s grace! all of grace! and apart from His grace in and through and by Christ Jesus, all I am is a sinner, and all I have is the deepest, darkest, and vilest of sin.

This is such a humbling and true- true- true truth! Powerful-knock me of my own throne- word. Totally desititute, throwing ourselves on His grace, daily. I AM a worm! I love this… “were it not for a constant, continual dependence upon the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit to keep me.” Thanks so much for posting.

Oh, how I needed this right now. Sometimes we write and post about these things. And sometimes in the quietness our lives we just fall silent under the weight of ours and other’s sin and are left with feelings of hopelessness. This was just the perfect thing for me to read today. I don’t know Alan Redpath but he ministered to my sould today.
Thank you my friend.
