This is excellent Christina…so glad you shared this. How very true when it comes to voting for a president. We must all think on these things and I have heard it from another source who also said the same thing about the fact that we are not voting for a pastor. Thank you!!
I basically agree with MacArthur and Mohler. I do think the question that the other brother said should be asked of Romney, should indeed be asked. As for me, i know I cannot vote for Obama, so if I vote it will be Romney.
I thought the same thing myself, Mr. Woodruff. To date, I do not think that question has been posed and don’t expect it will be. God bless you and thanks for your comment.

Simply put, we cannot know what a candidate thinks or believes in his heart, regardless what he may state publicly. Our options are these: [1] vote for a major party candidate who may be elected, [2] write in a name of someone who has little or no chance of being elected, [3] don’t vote. Scripture does not clearly dictate or condemn any of these choices.
What the Bible does make clear is that “the government shall be upon His [Christ’s] shoulder,” and that, “of the increase of His government there shall be no end.”
A politician elected to public office must and will be held accountable by God for his conduct in office just as we all will give account for our thoughts words and deeds– our Lord God Almighty sovereignly rules over all the affairs of His creation, and so if we fret we do so in vain.
Thank you for posting these links.
I’m looking forward to the day when we won’t have to worry about such decisions anymore, when we will see the Eternal Monarch face to face. I think we can all agree on that.
John MacArthur is such a blessing to the body of Christ…have you listened to his latest sermons on the platform for immorality? They are both excellent, here are the links if you are interested –
That was well said as always Pastor John !!! I only hope and pray that whoever does take the position of being president and leader of this country that Our heavenly Father will open their eyes and their hearts and mind to his wisdom, grace, mercy, love and understanding that will make them once and for all lead this country back to the way God designed it to be. That God is in control and the true King of this world and they need to acknowledge that before any real changes can be made. Love you very much Christina!! God Bless
Thanks everyone for your feedback. Someone posted this to my FB wall and I think it’s probably one of the most articulate and well thought out pieces on voting this election. It’s written by Michael Farris who, along with being the founder and Chancellor at Patrick Henry College, is a US constitutional lawyer and an ordained Baptist minister.
