Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD!
O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the LORD!
For with the LORD there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.
– Psalms 130
Petra Hefner says
A beautiful Psalm of comfort while we wait!
“…my soul waits, and in His word I hope.”
May God bless you with His steadfast love today!
Christina says
Good morning, Petra!
As I thought about forgiveness of sins it occured to me that one day this body of death will REALLY be done away with. Until then, while we wait, He covers us!
Have a beautiful day in the Lord my sister!
Diane says
Good morning Christina.
Amen!
“If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?” What a gracious God, full of mercy!
May your day be blessed with His goodness.
Jon J. Cardwell says
“But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.” What a reverent and holy thing is divine forgiveness, which is only from God and only found in Christ.
Thank you, sister.
