Auschwitz: Drone Video of Nazi Concentration Camp

January 27, 2015 by Christina

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviet Army.  Auschwitz is the largest and most notorious concentration camp established by the Germans during World War II.  It is estimated that between 1940 and 1945, 1.1 million people, most of them Jews, were murdered.  This drone video shows the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp as it is today.

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
