Valentines, Schmalentines!  Just another Hallmark holiday if you ask me. I’ve never made much of the day.  Not that I’ve ever turned down a bouquet of roses or tulips. And anyway, everyday is Valentines day at the Langella household!  Can you see me batting my eyelashes?

Maybe you’ve seen this already.  Created by Amy, who blogs at The Monday Heretic, this Valentine is making its way around social media.  I got a real kick out of it.  What we have here is proof that what you believe about salvation colors everything in your world.  It not only effects the rest of your theology, but how you live out your Christian life. And now we see it is an indicator of how romantic you are!  Me personally, I think Jacob Arminius would be the least.  Calvin would be the most.

So, if you celebrate, enjoy the day! If you don’t celebrate, enjoy the day!  And if you wish you could celebrate but don’t have someone to celebrate with, don’t put too much weight on one day. It’s just a day.  It comes; it goes. But the steadfast love of your Lord will never cease!
